Structural engineering team provided specific engineering design, consent documentation and inspections and certification for the new sports pavilion including ablutions, changing rooms and storage areas. Design features included a suspended lantern box, covered promenade areas, terraced steps, stormwater retention and detention with rainwater tanks, raingardens and grass swale drains. Salient construction features included an external structural steel frame, profiled precast concrete panels and handcrafted metal leaves which formed the internal spaces in between the steel rafters of roof above the covered promenade. Isthmus were project lead with project management and architectural services. The building was completed by Cassidy Construction.
