Our Process
Initially a scoping meeting is held either at our office or on site to confirm the client’s brief and to afford an opportunity to identify any potential issues at an early stage. This meeting is then followed up with our fee proposal and scoping document for client approval. We maintain close client engagement with the design and consenting processes to ensure that all parties are kept abreast of progress and that where required any changes are notified and approved prior to execution.
We leverage the expertise of our in-house Survey, Structural and Planning teams to support smooth and efficient project development, and where required, we collaborate closely with a network of specialist consultants across various engineering disciplines, such as geotechnical engineers, transport planners and contamination specialists.
Concept designs are taken to the client for approval, and following any required changes are then transformed into final designs for a quantity surveyor to complete accurate pricing and scheduling of the works.
The final design documentation is then reviewed by the consenting team and requisite consent applications completed and lodged for approval with the relevant consent authorities.
Where required we can assist with the procurement of competitively priced tenders/quotations for the work. We are able to offer either open or closed scoured tender processes. We have extensive experience with the various forms of contract and the use of standard contract processes and documentation.
Construction monitoring is carried out in accordance with best practice guidelines and where applicable the Eng NZ and ACENZ guidelines.
We have developed excellent skills in the ability to work within a matrix of extensive processes, perhaps best illustrated in the process chart below which was used for the recent Auckland Council parks development project.
